Officer John Walsh appointed to RPD in 1961 and retired in 1982 passed on January 2012, at 9:30 a.m. He was a long time police evidence technician as well as a member of the American Legion Law Enforcement Post 1182. He is predeceased by his Son George and Daughter Colleen, survived by his wife of 23 years Robyn Olsan Walsh and Granddaughter Raquel Walsh, Stepchildren Larry (Linda) Phillips Jon Michael Phillips of Wisconsin. John was also a member of the American Legion Law Enforcement Post 1182.
