Joseph A. Simeone
retired from the Monroe County Sheriff’s
Office after 34 years with Monroe Country, working as an Investigator
for the Dept. of Social Services and the MCSO. He has been a member
of ARPALER since 1992 and is presently Chairman of the ARPALER Finance
Committee and a member of the Membership and Golf Tournament Committees.
Joe is also a member of the Sheriff's Office Association of Retirees,
Moose Club, National Association of Tax Professionals, American Legion,
VFW and CSEA. Joe enjoys musicals, travel, and light opera.

Ray retired as a Detective of the Rochester Police
Department after 34 years of service. He worked assignment in the
Stolen Auto Squad
and Detective Bureau for 18 years. He is a past President of the Rochester
Police Locust Club as well as past President of the Central New York
Police Conference. He has been a member of the ARPALER for 30 years
and served a term as Vice President. Presently, he is the Publisher
of the ARPALER Blue & Grey Newsletter and serves on the Golf & Picnic
Committees. He is a member of the Geriatric Pilots, and enjoys gardening
during his spare time. |

Deacon Angelo J. Coccia
retired after serving as a City Court Officer and Court Bail Officer
for 25 years. He was ordained a Deacon by the
Rochester Diocese in 1988. He is the founder & Coordinator of the
St. Francis House and joined ARPALER in 2003

James Vanbrederode

Lieutenant
James Vanbrederode has been a member of the Gates Police Dept.for
16 years, currently assigned as
1st Platoon supervisor. He was a member fo the
Rochester Police Dept. for 3 years. He has been
a member
of ARPALER “…since
the Gillette days.” Jim is Chairman of the COPS Memorial
Committee. He serves on the C.O.P.S. Board as Treasurer and is
a Piper Major for the Keystone Club Police Pipes and Drums Band. Jim
is a member
of the Roberts Wesleyan College Alumni Assoc., Ogden Town
Republican Committee, Gates Historical Society, Rochester Scottish
Pipes and Drums and the Church of the Epiphany. He enjoys playing
bagpipes and collecting antique firetrucks. |

Brian
Page retired from the Rochester Police Dept. at the rank of Captain
after 22 years of service. He
served as Chief of
Police in Ithaca, NY for 1 year and then returned to Monroe County
where he served as Fairport, NY Chief of Police for 11 years. He
has been a member of ARPALER for 12 years and is Chairman of the
Elections
Committee. Brian is a member of the NYS Chiefs of Police, International
Assoc. of Chiefs of Police and the Rochester PBA. His hobbies include
billiards, poker and custom cars. He operates “Brian Page Automotive”,
selling vehicles wholesale to the public and collector cars on E-Bay

Paul
E. Chechak was a Police Trainee for 2 years, and then sworn in as
a police officer. He retired in 1992 as a Captain with the Rochester
Police Department after 27 years of service. He is currently a financial
consultant with A.G. Edwards & Sons, Inc. Paul has been a member
of the ARPALER for over 15 years as well as the Rochester Police
Locust Club. He has served as a board member of the Rochester Yacht
Club, Baden Street Settlement, PBA, Genesee Conservation League,
and RPD Pistol Club. He enjoys sailing, hiking, skiing, shooting,
and woodworking

Sam
is a retiree from Xerox Corporation where he worked as tester,
troubleshooter and repairman. In addition to being our photographer, he has been a very active associate member of ARPALER since 1995, and serves on the reception committee on meeting days. Sam is a member of the Amalgamated Retiree Organization and the National Rifle Association. His
hobbies include being a healthcare provider with Shaklee Products,
Photography, and since 1959, he has been helping people as a barber/hairdresser.
